Recovery Ministry
The WABC Recovery Ministry provides a safe, Christian space for members affected by the diseases of alcoholism & addiction. Recovery is a spiritual program. The Twelve-Step recovery model, as outlined in Alcoholics Anonymous, can be applied not only to substance abuse, but also to: codependency, overeating, love addiction, sex addiction, gambling addiction, nicotine addiction, and others. In the Recovery Ministry, we identify Jesus as the Higher Power that can restore us to sanity. We also aim to dismantle the stigma that exists within the church surrounding the diseases of alcoholism & addiction. As we work toward this, we will continue to respect the privacy of members who choose to remain anonymous. The Recovery Ministry meets on the third Tuesdays of each month at 8pm on Zoom. We plan to meet on campus when COVID-19 restrictions are relaxed.
