Boys Rites of Passage is a Christian-based program that helps bring young, African-American males to manhood and teaches them to be leaders in their families and community. The program seeks to assist boys in acquiring the ability to demonstrate the three principles of the program—Discipline, Reverence, and Respect—and to understand the Seven Levels of Manhood: Heritage, Etiquette, Family, Faith, Basic Skills, Survival, and Resource Control. Boys Rites of Passage meets on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month at 8:30 am.As technology has advanced, and with new challenges brought on by: natural disasters, pandemics and social instability living present in our modern times, planning and programming is underway to enhance the program and make some of its classroom and community activities available via the internet. The goal is to make the program accessible to boys between the ages of 11 to 17 wherever they may be!As we plan for the return to a pattern, the start date is pending due COVID-19 concerns and issues. For more information, contact Rev.
